My first ever blog post, and hearts :]

I've been wanting to start a crafting blog for quite a while now, though I'm not exactly computer literate. Today I decided to finally get on with it and claim a little corner of the internet as my own! I'm really hoping that I find success with this, despite having very little knowledge about blogging. So, let the learning experience begin!

My name is Nicole, I'm 23 years young and live with my husband and our two adorable doggies in our home in beautiful upstate New York. I've been crafting incessantly since I gained motor function. Polymer clay has been my preferred material for the last several years, though I enjoy playing with other mediums as well, I'm hoping that blogging will help me network with other crafters and help me grow as an artist :]

Polymer Clay Heart Pendant Series

Lately I've been interested in challenging myself to work small. I found a teeny and adorable heart cookie-cutter at a thrift shore, and have been using it to make bases for little pendants. This cherry blossom tree was my first experiment; a bit rudimentary and lacking in detail, though I was initially pleased with it.

I should probably admit that I am a bit of a pumpkin fanatic. And I mean, really, I'm a crazy pumpkin fanatic. My dream is to have a pumpkin farm someday. I have hundreds of pumpkin-related items in my home. They played a starring role in my wedding, where they were decor, favors, and place card holders.
I have a pumpkin tattooed on my wrist.
I love them. I think they're the greatest thing ever. So, naturally, I like to tie them into my crafting. This was my second attempt, and I wore it everyday  for months so every person i came in contact with would know my affinity with pumpkins.

The way I feel about pumpkins is rivaled only by that my husband feels about Alice In Wonderland.
This one is my favorite to date.

Alice herself is a bit shorter than a penny, and the flowers have Swarovski centers. I was very pleased with how she turned out!

I'm really excited to share my craftings with fellow bloggers and un-bloggers! And with that, my first blog post draws to an end. Hopefully the next will be up soon!
